Why did you seek investment?

I sought investment because I knew our model worked and was sustainable, but I lacked the cash to scale and reach more people.

Why did you choose the Growth Impact Fund?

I applied through GIF because they understood that the social impact we deliver matters. Yes, it’s a business, but they recognised that changing lives is just as important as generating revenue.

What support have you appreciated the most post-investment?

What I’ve appreciated most is the flexibility and independence. I’ve had the space to make the right decisions for Living In Fitness, even when that meant pivoting away from the original growth plan.

How did you use your pre-investment grant?

Living in Fitness received the Pre-investment Grant to work on a comprehensive pre-investment support plan which included coaching on articulating social impact, engaging in market analysis, creating a growth and business plan and translating that into a robust financial forecast. Alongside the technical support, the Pre-investment Grant team advised and coached the founder throughout the diligence process and focused on building confidence through the investment process.
